Calendar of the academic year 2006-2007

Beginning and closing dates of the academic year 2006-2007

The academic year 2006-2007 begins from the second week of September 2006 for all the institutions of  higher education and research .

The number of effective teaching weeks must not be less than 26 for the year,  and not less than 13 for the semester.

Calendar of the holidays for the academic year 2006-2007

Aïd El Fitr : 3  days (dates will be determined later)

Holidays of the first quarter :  from Sunday, November 5th to Wednesday, November 8th, 2006  inclusive

Winter holidays and New Year's Day : From Saturday, December 16th, 2006 after the end of the courses to Monday, January 1st, 2007.

Aïd El Idha  : 3 days (dates will be determined later)

1st day of the new year of Hegira : 1 day (to be determined later)

Spring holidays, Independence holiday, Youth holiday and The" Mouled " : From Saturday, March 17th, 2007 after the end of the courses to Sunday, April 1st, 2007

Labour Day: Tuesday, May 1st, 2006
