Normal Higher School

The normal higher school is a prestigious academic institution open to the elite of students having terminated their first cycle in literary, human and scientific studies. It prepares the students to the competitive examination of secondary education's aggregation as well as to the scientific research, and this thanks to academic training and specific supervision that allow them to promote a good level of education and scientific research.

CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION
The students are admitted by the means of competitive examination in the following specialities : Arabic, French, English, philosophy, history, geography, math-physics, and physics-chemistry.

The competitive examination is open to the students who did not repeat a year during the first cycle of higher education and who have obtained, in the second year of the first cycle an average equal or superior to 11/20 in the disciplines of literature and human sciences, and an average equal or superior to 12/20 in the disciplines of fundamental sciences.

The candidates should not be more than 23 years old at the date of the competitive examination.

LENGTH OF STUDIES
The duration of the studies is three years.

  • During the two first years, the student follows the courses of the second cycle in one of the higher education institutions. At the same time, he pursues complementary courses at the Normal Higher School.

  • he third year is reserved to the preparation of the aggregation.

  • To pass from one year to the other, one should obtain an average equal or superior to 10/20.

  • It is not permitted to repeat a year in the Normal Higher School. However, the scientific council may permit derogation, only once, in the third year.
